The Hipipo awards are back! Yes, we mean those awards that were held at the Wonder World Auditorium in Kansanga last year, where Bebe Cool scooped almost all the awards in the different categories.
Now in their third edition, the awards are growing. On Tuesday, Huawei, under their flagship phone brand Huawei Ascend P7, announced unquantified financial sponsorship towards the Hipipo Music Awards that are due tomorrow at the Wonder World Auditorium in Kansanga.
Speaking while announcing the sponsorship, Mr Rodoslaw Kedzia, the Huawei Uganda Managing Director applauded the Hipipo Awards as a wonderful initiative, “We are glad to be part of this cause. W are glad to support such a social cause that impacts local talents and the community,” Mr Radoslaw said.
Both the Huawei and Hipipo teams kept the total sum of cash that the telephony company have invested in the event secret, but Radoslaw made it clear that several award winners will walk home with the trendy Huawei Ascend P7 phones on top of their accolades.
The awards ceremony will kick off at 7pm tomorrow and one will have to part with Shs20,000 for general sitting, Shs 50,000 for VIP and Shs 100,000 for platinum sitting.
