My parents were very supportive because they knew what I wanted, so for starters, they gave me Shs100,000 as my start-up capital.

So you do more than bake cakes?
Yes. I bake cakes for all functions, but I also do general catering, decorations, plus interior and exterior designs among others.
How many cakes can you bake in a day?
It depends on the ceremony and the season, but usually, I’m able to do four to five cakes.
How much would you charge if someone wanted the whole package. That is decoration, cakes and catering?
The least I can go for is Shs2.5m and the highest would be Shs10million, but the theme and location of the place determines the price.
Among all the things you do, what makes more money?
Cakes make more money because it’s a daily thing unlike events that are seasonal.
