A recent trip to one boutique in Naalya made me realise that the kaftan isn’t as unfashionable as I thought.
In fact, this is one of those pieces that you can wear, to be descent, but still look fabulous. Now, you may need to know that these will vary depending on where you want to wear it to. The sheer chiffon kaftans are best worn over a bikini, or swim suit while the longer more covered up kaftans can be worn even on the red carpet.
However, if you want to wear it on the red carpet, then it would be advisable to have it embellished, or in a splashy colour. The other thing that makes me love this clothing even more is that it is so versatile, making it easy for you to switch it into many looks; from the beach, to cocktail or to a very glamorous event.
Since the kaftan is made from very light material, it is weather friendly, especially with how unpredictable our weather is lately, so you don’t have to die from the unbearable heat.
The accessories on the other hand are determined by what look you want to achieve. If you a want chic and boho look, then you could pair your kaftan with a pair of strappy sandals and a sling bag. If you are wearing it to a black tie event, then go for more sophisticated and glam accessories. A box clutch, paired with gold or silver accessories will work just perfect for this look.
