I don’t know about you but the number one rule when I am buying an outfit is the fabric.
The older the better. Nothing beats vintage when it comes to pulling off a fashion statement.
So this week, let’s take a look at tweed.
This woolen fabric is back. And do not be fooled that it’s just for the old. You can still pull off a tweed outfit in your youth.
For the men, a tweed suit would be the perfect way to pull off the look. It would be advisable to keep the look vintage. So when you opt for a tweed suit match it with a pair of brogues or oxford shoes.
Alternatively, you can also opt for an elbow patched jacket or a Kangol cap for your tweed look.
For the ladies, you could opt for a skirt, a coat or even a pair of high-waist pants.
Keep in mind that this fabric is quite heavy and will be a little uncomfortable when it gets really hot so match it with lighter fabrics like chiffon or satin.
