Desire LuzindaSinger Desire Luzinda has been in the news for the past two weeks. She is at the centre of recent allegations made by Gen Salim Saleh’s aide Major Juma Seiko who claims to be the father of the singer’s 10-year-old daughter Michelle. If anything the tabloids have quoted from Maj. Seiko is anything to go by, then he just won the verbal paternity battle over Desire’s daughter.

According to tabloid reports, Seiko is quoted as having revealed how he used to have steamy sessions with the singer at his Nakasero pad as well as Naguru.
But Desire has promised to do whatever it takes to protect her daughter from “an attention seeker” of Seiko’s caliber. Desire told us that she had already engaged her lawyers led by legislator Mukasa Mbidde and they wrote to Seiko to stop making public utterances that affect her daughter psychologically.

“I have no time to start exchanging words in the media with a person who is clearly seeking to revamp his name at the expense of an innocent soul like my daughter’s,” Desire told us.
The singer said she wants Seiko to come up with substantial evidence that shows he has anything to do with her daughter, rather than mere words that award him free media attention.
We were unable to get a comment from Seiko as his known phone lines went unanswered but sources close to the combatant told us that he insisted he wanted a DNA done between him and child. The source also told us that Seiko is willing to do the DNA test from anywhere in the world.
Although Desire remains tightlipped on who the actual father of her daughter is, sources close to her told us that John Kaddu, a businessman is listed as the father on all her documents, “right from her birth certificate!”
