Musician Patrick Mulwana alias Alien Skin is set to enter the league of musicians who have dared to stage a concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
The controversial singer is now warming up to have his concert at a relatively bigger venue after being denied a go-ahead to organise it at Hotel Africana. At the beginning of this month, the Fangone Forest boss announced his plan to hold a music concert at Hotel Africana but days later, he communicated that he was pushed to cancel it due to a number of reasons.
Among those Alien Skin cited were concerns from the venue owners who were worried that the concert would attract a huge crowd which could possibly lead to the destruction and vandalism of property.
The Sitya Danger singer has also in the past been cited in a number of violent gang clashes with fellow musicians and a raid at Nsambya Hosital which left three hospital staff injured.
Fangone Forest soldiers/ fans can now continue to jubilate and anticipate the concert of their own singer after the organiser of the event in question Twizire Nobat alias Nobat Events was able to secure the venue at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
In a letter seen by Sqoop issued to Nobat by the General Secretary of the National Council of Sports, the promoter was asked to pay a tune of Shs15,000,000 to be able to hire the venue on the anticipated day. Now what remains to be seen is whether the events promoter will be able to fulfill all the necessary prerequisites in the remaining few days for the concert to happen.
