Troubled Alien Skin slapped with new charges

Musician Patrick Mulwana, alias Alien Skin has been slapped with new criminal charges barely a week after he was remanded on allegations of robbery.

Mulwana who has been on remand since November 20 and initially expected to return to court on December 9 for further mention of his case was today (November 25) arraigned before Makindye Chief Magistrate’s Court on three counts of causing grievous harm against the staff of St. Francis Hospital Nsambya.
He’s jointly charged alongside his civilian bodyguard, Julius Mugabi who also had his day in court last week before he was remanded.
The two pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Fangone Entertainment crew leader attempted to apply for bail but the state prosecutor objected to it, arguing that he will interfere with investigations which are still ongoing. Court also heard that police plan to arrest 18 more members of his crew with whom they stormed the health facility and assaulted its staff.
However, the trial Chief Magistrate Esther Adikini further remanded the duo to Luzira prison until Thursday for ruling on whether to grant them bail or not.

According to the charge sheet, Mulwana, Mugabi and others still at large on November 19, 2024 at St Francis Hospital Nsambya, Makindye Division in Kampala District unlawfully caused grievous harm to Dr Zaidi Matovu and two security guards; Alex Odongo and Anthony Munyanda.
