Harmonize intensifies drama over Diamond Platnumz Grammy snub

Bongo Flava’s drama factory is back in full swing, and this time Harmonize has delivered a sizzling jab aimed squarely at his arch-rival, Diamond Platnumz.

Fresh off the buzz surrounding ‘Kamwambie’ hitmaker Grammy snub, Harmonize didn’t waste a moment to share his thoughts—and they weren’t exactly kind.

Diamond, who had submitted his music in the ‘Best Music Video’ and ‘Best Music Performance’ categories, didn’t cut the Grammy nominations. But for Harmonize, the reasons are pretty clear.

“You can’t win a Grammy just for greeting people,” Harmonize quipped with a knowing grin during a November 22 press chat. “I know what it takes. You need crazy and real production to win the Grammy.”

The ‘Single Again’ crooner didn’t stop there, declaring that while Diamond’s fame might carry weight at home, international recognition demands pure, undeniable talent.

“They don’t care who you are—they only listen to the music. That’s why I know I’ll be at the Grammys in 2025, 2026, and I’ll win,” he boldly proclaimed.

The comments have sent social media into a frenzy, with fans of both artistes reigniting the long-standing feud between the two Bongo Flava heavyweights.

Since Harmonize’s dramatic departure from WCB, his rivalry with his former mentor has evolved into a high-stakes competition for dominance—chart hits, global tours, luxury acquisitions, and now Grammy dreams.

Despite the shade, Diamond’s supporters were quick to defend their star, pointing to his track record of raising the bar for African music on the global stage.

“Diamond is the blueprint,” one fan tweeted. “He doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone!” Still, Harmonize is unfazed, his ambitions sky-high. The Grammy talk is just another chapter in a feud that has kept the Tanzanian music scene electric—and unpredictable.

Away from the fiery barbs, Harmonize showed his softer side, speaking about a recent visit to Pastor Tony’s church, where he sought prayers and reflection.

“I love God. I’m always drawn to where God is. If God speaks somewhere, it doesn’t matter where it is. I’m a Muslim, and I’m super proud of it,” he shared, adding a surprising spiritual twist to the narrative.

As fans await Diamond’s inevitable clapback, one thing is for sure: the rivalry is far from over. With both artistes eyeing Grammy gold and global dominance, the stakes have never been higher.
