Last year, celebrated events host, MC Edwin Katamba hung up his emceeing boots with a concert to mark the end of his more than 15 years of being an events MC. Despite seeing him on stage on a number of occasions, one being Sheebah’s recent Neyanziza concert, Kats has decided to take another step in his career.
When we reached out to the TV presenter after a recent post on his socials, he said today’s crop of emcees are not versatile, which is something he looks at changing.
“We are looking at making the next biggest emcees per region. The reason I came up with this idea is because I have noticed that club Mc’s in reality cannot handle TV. They might be good on stages but not on TV, so the search is to look at someone who can do both, be an emcee and a presenter as well. In the long run, every district will have someone like me,” he said.
This journey is starting in Gulu where there will also be HIV screening and activities, among other activities.
