Did Bobi Wine plagiarize Eddy Kenzo’s music?

Eddy Kenzo

During Eddy Kenzo’s 10-year-music concert at Kampala Serena Hotel, he spoke highly of Bobi Wine, saying the popstar turned politician contributed highly to his music career.

Besides mentoring him, Kenzo said, Bobi Wine offered him a free studio where he recorded some of his first songs.

But in a recent interview, the presidential advisor revealed that Bobi Wine’s offer did not come with good intentions. Kenzo appeared to suggest that the opposition NUP party president used to plagiarize his songs.

“We did Yanimba with Mickie Wine and after, our boss released Promise, and I thought he had gotten some inspiration from our song because both songs resemble but I let that go. After I did Musonyiwe, he also went on and did Wesotinge and to prevent trouble, I had to leave Firebase,” Kenzo said.

To further clarify on that, he also said that the above-mentioned songs were all produced at Firebase which Bobi Wine had access to all the time because he was the boss.

Bobi Wine

Until September 29, Bobi Wine was yet to draw comments on the matter.
