Promoter Nobart says Weasel has sued him

Weasel

Events promoter Nobart is in hot soup after Weasel decided to drag him to court.

Nobart was behind Weasel’s just-concluded successful concert at Africana. Despite the good turn-up, Weasel lamented saying Nobart “did not fulfill his promise of paying him.”

A few weeks after the show, a video clip of Weasel beating up Nobart surfaced on the internet. As investigations are still ongoing in regards to the incident, Nobart now says Weasel has opened legal proceedings against him.

Nobart said he only got to know about the court summons recently from his lawyers, but is disappointed that the person he thought he was helping is the same person who turned against him.

“I encountered debts of over Shs300million because of Weasel. I invested a lot in this concert. From the food he ate, the shoes and clothes he wore to the haircut he got on that day of the concert. He didn’t invest anything in the concert. If he was advised to take me to prison and he feels he should do that, it is well with me,” said Nobart.

He also added that he should have been the one to drag Weasel to court because of the injuries he inflicted on him.

“I was the one supposed to take him to prison because he beat me up and disrespected me. I even lost a tooth because he beat me up but if he wants me to rot in prison despite the debts I got after organizing his concert that I thought would bring him back, then that is okay,” he explained yesterday.
