United Kingdom’s leading ABBA tribute act, ABBA Re-Björn, is set to rock Kampala in what will be their debut performance in Uganda.
During a Friday press briefing to announce the event, Peter Bowser, the event promoter, and proprietor of Somewhere Else Bar, assured the press that all is set, and promised fun and enjoyment for all attendees come next weekend.
“I wish to assure you and all ABBA fans out there, that we’re more than ready to host a world-class event. Our team has put in a lot of effort to make sure this event is as memorable as it should be. And our partners have made it even easier. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone come ready to have a great time, as we reminisce about the good old days, and create new memories to cherish,” Bowser said.
Bowser added that revelers who show up in ABBA-inspired attire- like groovy suits, bellbottom jeans, or disco-ready spandex catsuits, will receive special recognition.
The two-day event slated for the 6th and 7th of September is powered by Nation Media Group’s NTV and KFM as well as I&M Bank whose MasterCard holders will enjoy a 10% discount on tickets purchased using their cards will be held at Somewhere Else Bar and Restaurant in Naguru and tickets to each show are on sale at Shs150,000.
Bowser also emphasized that limited to the event are limited, as each show will only be able to accommodate 400 attendees.
