By Wednesday, Ugandan dance group Hyper Kids were in the quarter-finals of America Has Got Talent. At this stage, they needed all the votes they could get to earn a slot into the next round and among the first people who voted for them was Akon, a celebrated musician. Akon, a Senegalese American-based artiste shared his vote for the Ugandan kids through a screenshot that indicated that he had already voted 10 times.
The first time Hyper Kids appeared at America Has Got Talent was earlier this year in March but did not reach this far.
Hyper Kids Africa is a group of 50 kids and orphans who live in one home and use music and dance to impact the community.
