Known as one of Uganda’s premier tourism festival, Vumbula Uganda Festival is nearing a return with this year’s edition promising an extraordinary experience, blending Uganda’s rich cultural heritage with breathtaking performances, vibrant art, and unmatched adventure.
The preparations for this year’s edition are in high gear and to launch the festival off, Swangz Avenue’s Elijah Kitaka, Mudra and new kid on the block Gloria Bugie gave the audience a sample of what will be happening from October 9 to October 11 at the Nile Resort Jinja during the unveiling night at the Villa restaurant and Lounge over the weekend.
Having one of the biggest songs at the moment, Elijah Kitaka had the audience in an elated mood with his performance. The drummer had the audience especially the lady’s scream when he performed Dawa which he did twice after he had performed his other songs like Nothing and Weather For Two, promising more during the festival.
Before his performance Mudra D Viral real name Alfa Ssebunya had also teased the audience on what to expect by singing some of his songs including Balo Balo, Muyaayu and Onkosa.
He also took some time off to call on the audience to attend his upcoming first concert.
This year’s festival is set to surpass expectations with various activities including Elijah Kitaka headlining the event with soulful acoustic performances that will captivate the audience.
Attendees will be treated to vibrant cultural troop performances that celebrate Uganda’s rich traditions through dance and music. Moreover, the dedicated tourism exhibition area will allow festival-goers to explore Uganda’s diverse tourism offerings.
At the launch, Demo Riley, the Chief Executive Officer of Vumbula Uganda, enthusiastically remarked, “We are a consistent and sustainable brand that responds to our community’s needs to enhance the tourism experience with each edition. This time, anticipate a safe and extraordinary celebration of our beautiful country, Uganda. Since its inception in 2021, Vumbula Uganda Festival has grown into a must-attend event, attracting over 5,000 adventure lovers from across the globe. The festival has successfully positioned itself as a catalyst for promoting domestic tourism, with notable sponsorships from Stanbic Bank, Busoga Kingdom, and the Ministry of Tourism.
