Old school music took center stage at the grand reopening of Mbarara’s Majestic Bar, previously an executive wing of Vision Empire Club, on Saturday night. The long-time favorite club reopened after a brief hiatus, drawing a vibrant crowd.

By 6 PM, partygoers started flocking to the strategically located venue in the city center, making it easy for everyone to stop by and witness the bar’s revival.

The venue was teeming with excitement and beautiful attendees. From 6 PM to 10 PM, local DJs and MCs entertained the crowd, doing what they love most.

Revelers enjoyed their drinks while catching glimpses of European football matches, including England’s penalty shootout win over Switzerland and the Netherlands’ 2-1 victory over Turkey. The atmosphere was lively but maintained a laid-back vibe until the TV matches concluded.

By 9 PM, all reserved tables and seats were taken, and newcomers had to stand, drink in hand, like soldiers. The space became so crowded that some attendees had to enjoy the festivities from outside, expressing dissatisfaction with the limited space.

The night featured a lot of old school and flashback music, which delighted the crowd. Partygoers enthusiastically sang along to every classic track. Interestingly, many women proudly sang along to Juliana’s “Nabikowa“, prompting curiosity about the song’s resonant theme.

By 11 PM, the distinction between VIP and ordinary sections blurred as attendees mingled freely. It was a carefree atmosphere with songs from Juliana and Goodlyfe dominating the scene.

Around midnight, Mbarara’s cream Riddim and MC Kacheeche took over. The crowd was fully engaged, with everyone dancing in their shoes. Geosteady took the stage at 2 AM, performing hits like “Viola”, “Owooma”, and “Sembera”. Fans stood on their chairs to catch a glimpse of their favorite artist.

Later, at 3 AM, Mac DJ and MC Wakayima hyped the crowd with the party rock anthem while announcing the official opening of Majestic Bar.

Established in 1992, Majestic Bar holds a rich history as one of the pioneers of Mbarara City’s vibrant nightlife.
