Fifty Two students graduated at Zziwa Hair Academy in Nansana last week with certificates and diplomas in dynamic and high quality hairdressing, cosmotology and beauty. This was the second graduation ceremony after the first one that happened two years ago from the Banda cohort which graduated 56 students.
The graduation ceremony also doubled as the opening of Zziwa’s Hair Academy in Nansana with Amelia Kyambadde, the Minister of Trade as the guest of honour.
Kyambadde spoke highly of Zziwa and thanked him for the role he plays in creating jobs for the youth.
“I want to congratulate all the students who have graduated and I want to thank Zziwa for allowing the youth showcase their talents and creating for them a conducive environment for them to attain skills,” Kyambadde said.
The day started with a master class that saw Joram Job Muzira and a few other experts share knowledge in modelling before the graduation ceremony.
The day also saw fashion shows from Abbas Kaijuka, Anita Beryl and House of Senkulu while KaRungi and Lilian Mbabazi performed. The latter, however, said she did not attend the function to sing but rather support Zziwa.
