Anderson Luzze is the presenter of the Morning Flavour, an entertainment show on WBS TV. He meets his number one fan Becky, a jewellery maker in Kampala.
How is your day like?
I’m up by 6am, head to work and prepare for my show. By 9.15am I’m on air and my show is done by 10am. I then call up people in the entertainment world to book them for the next morning’s show, then go home to rest. I usually have meetings in the evening, then go for emceeing and appearances in different places because I also present Showtime Magazine. I get home by 2am.
What do you do besides TV?
Like I said, I’m an emcee and also a radio presenter who will soon be rocking the airwaves on Wavah Radio 102.1 FM.
How do you rate WBS TV?
Trust me, every reputable presenter you see on any TV station came from WBS. We have the best machines and best coverage in the region.
I heard WBS TV pays a lot. What is your monthly salary?
I rent a big house, I will soon build my own, I take care of my friends and help out with my sister when she’s broke. Short way of saying I earn enough to even save.
What makes you happy?
Seeing other people happy makes me happy as well.
How do you find the music industry in Uganda lately?
Well, we are not doing badly. I’m happy that today you can go to a nightclub and the DJs can spend the whole day playing only Ugandan music. We are competing with Nigerians and other countries. We have good audio and video producers. Our music plays on Channel O and our artistes have been recognised internationally.
What is your favourite food?
Kigere (cow hooves).
What is your message to upcoming artistes?
If you land one or two hit songs, make sure you remain humble and do not let the fame get to you.
Which schools did you go to?
I went to Quality Kindergarten, then High Way Primary School, Seguku Primary School, Eagle’s Nest Secondary School and Bishop Danstan in Kalangala before I joined Medicare Health Professionals College in Mengo for Laboratory Studies.
Any other station you would like to work with?
WBS TV pays well, unless its channel O or E Channel, I wouldn’t consider moving.
How do you spend your free time?
I spend my free time swimming, especially over the weekends. I go for boat cruises, have fun with friends, watch movies, cartoons, and then go to church on Sundays.
What pisses you off?
I hate lies and people not keeping time.
Tell me more about yourself?
I was born 25 years ago to the late Ms Mary Nanyazi and Capt Grace Kiggundu. I come from a humble family where I’m the last born and the only boy.
What is your best TV channel?
E channel on DSTV is my best because of the entertainment news, gossip and everything there.
