He was my superman – Patrick Salvado Idringi mourns loss of father

Renowned comedian Patrick Salvado is currently mourning the passing of his father Dawa Lawrence, who bravely battled a mysterious illness. The sad news was shared by Salvado himself via his X Platform account in the early hours of Monday morning.

With a heavy heart and deep soul, Patrick Salvado shared the sad and heartbreaking news through his X platform saying he has for the past year been performing through pain as his dad battled a strange illness.

“Sunday the 24th of March 2024 – 22:24 Hrs My father has bowed out – RIP Baba,” he posted. He went on to say that it was the same day he celebrates his daughter’s birthday.

Expressing his gratitude and fond memories, Salvado thanked his father for his unwavering support, especially in his decision to pursue a career in comedy. He reminisced about his father’s encouragement, noting,

“I’ve been performing through pain since last year but it’s the only thing that kept me going .. seeing other people happy, my dad loved watching me make other people happy, I’ll forever be grateful for his approval when I told him I was quitting Engineering for Comedy .. he’s answer “As long as it makes you happy” – RIP my superman.”

There will be a vigil and mass at the comedian’s place this evening in Kyanja and a funeral service at our lady of Africa Mbuya. The burial will be at the deceased’s residence in Komamboga.

May his soul Rest In Peace.
