According to Aisha Nagudi, Miss Tourism chose the 2024 theme ‘Tourism and Peace’ because they felt it befitting to remind all of us of the importance of peace to tourism. This involves every angle including wars, pollution, and natural disasters among other things and when peace and harmony are maintained, things will continue to run smoothly.
Hon Mugarra while making his remarks noted that support keeps growing each year and urged parents to allow their daughters to participate and get experience and get to know things they don’t get in schools.

The competition for the national crown starts at the regional level however, there is a twist immediately. Regional winners will be tasked with promoting, marketing, and showcasing regional tourism products through digital marketing about the theme. This will not only achieve our main objective of promoting domestic tourism but also produce well-rounded and knowledgeable tourism ambassadors.
