Motor crash claims musician Baby Deo’s life

Ugandans on social media on Friday morning woke up to the news of the passing of musician Deo Tadeo Mbaziira who was known by his stage name Baby Deo.

Baby Deo was reported dead after being involved in a nasty car crash that happened along Kampala – Masaka road in Kyengera on Thursday night as he was on his way home.

The news of his passing took social media bu storm after photos and video clips that were recorded on the scene surfaced.

His body was taken to the city mortuary at Mulago from where it was picked later on and transported to the National Theater where a vigil was organised to bid farewell to the fallen Kadongokamu singer.

Several artistes and mourners were in attendance at the vigil including the Uganda National Musicians Association (UNMF) President Eddy Kenzo, musician turned MP Geoffrey Lutaaya, actor Dickson Zizinga among others.

Baby Deo rose to fame over a decade ago after releasing his hit song titled “Kasuku” followed by others like wrong number, Olivia among others. His body will be laid to rest on Sunday 4 February in Kigamba Village, Mubende District.
