Younger rapper Patrick Ssenyonjo alias as Fresh Kid UG has yet again proved to the world that rapping is something he can do with ease.
The youngster who made a surprise appearance on stage during musician Aziz Azion’s Strings of Love concert at Serena Hotel in Kampala left the audience cheering and wowed after singing along with the main act Aziz on his track dubbed “Nakupenda” which originally sang with Hip-hop star GNL Zamba.
Fresh Kid displayed maturity and confidence as he dropped the lines in the rap verse while singing to the beat of the song that was played on live band something that not only earned him praise from the audience at the concert but also on social media as a clip of him performing went viral shortly after their performance.
“Wow Watching Fresh Kid UG doing my verse on the NAKUPENDA ft @azizazionug is one of the most amazing things I’ve seen on the Internet. Congratulations fam,” posted GNL Zamba on his X account.
“I love it !!! He owned his space and delivered. Love to see fresh kid grow in his craft and excel at doing this Lugaflow art-form. Those lyrics were no longer mine on that stage, they became his (Nange natidemu ?). I’m honored to continually inspire a new generation of Ugandan griots and storytellers,” the CEO of Baboon Forest Entertainment tweeted.
