Proceeds from Ceasefire play to help in construction of Kato Lubwama theatre

Currently, preparations are underway for Ceasefire, a play written by Kato Lubwama to be shown. Tickets are on sale and activations are happening. News coming in indicates is that the proceeds from the show that is organized by Biggie Events will be going to the construction of Kato Lubwama memorial theatre.

The former CBS radio presenter and Rubaga South Member of Parliament had previously sub-leased a building on Martin Road which accommodated his riverside theatre but was ordered to vacate the premises over rent arrears. The same theatre was earlier located on Kyaggwe Road but was demolished.

For his love for theatre, Biggie and the rest of the team working on this play found it imperative that the late actor should also be remembered in his death as well.

To push the event more, Biggie, just like he did with Chameleone’s ‘Gwanga Muje’ concert has decided to take the show to the people and yesterday visited several companies including Arapex Tile Adhesive manufacturers who bought a 10 million table on top of offering 500 bags of adhesive to the construction of the theatre.

The handover was done by the company PRO Sarah Sebugwawo during a press conference at Stream Live Hotel in Bunga Kampala.

On the same note, Tash Hubby the platinum wellness Spar Sales Manager bought several tickets for the show as well.
