Mbarara’s David Ssali, Adellah Orishaba tie knot

Mbarara City’s media personality David Ssali Owakabi, the TV West production control manager and Adellah Orishaba, the SkyTV news editor made things official as they tied the knot at All Saints Church Mbarara.

The two met as workmates at Mbarara based TV West in 2014 before Adellah left for Sky TV in 2022. Ssali proposed to Adellah last year in December and they immediately had their giveaway and introduction ceremonies. In a story run by Daily Monitor in January, the couple narrated their love story with Adellah saying while at TV West, Owakabi directed her and advised her on how to conduct herself on Television, especially at the time of anchoring news.

“David would advise me professionally on the proper way to conduct myself such as dresscode and how to talk. Although it was not his responsibility, he cared enough to make sure that I excelled at my job,” she said.

Owakabi also stated that what started as a ‘need to help’ a workmate turned into love. After vows at All Saints Church, the couple, who have two children together, proceeded to Asama Resort Hotel for a reception.
