DNA testing is an attack on family unit – Andrew Kyamagero

Andrew Kyamagero

Many people seem excited about the idea of taking their children for DNA tests. Some people have reached the extent of making jokes and creating memes out of the situation.

However,  media personality Andrew Kyamagero thinks the topic needs extra attention and understanding. He believes that DNA testing is a white man’s move to destroy the family unit.

“The broader perspective I want people to pay attention to is that people have failed to understand that DNA is not about the woman. The war is against the family unit,” he explained in an interview with Ruth Kalibbala Bwanika.

He explained that the agenda is to break the next generation and it is supported by already hurting individuals.

“The reason why men are reacting is because of the investment. They forget the memories. Ask! Are you willing to exchange memories for hunger? Do it with imperial evidence that causes suspicion,” he advised

He clearly stated that he is not against any man seeking a DNA test for his child but cautioned them to be mindful of the drivers that would lead them to the tests.

“I don’t want to underscore that DNA is good if you want to test it but it is an issue that can only come when there is a suspicion which according to me comes with concrete evidence. Mistrust is fueling DNA tests and these are a result of people getting involved in casual sex. Everything has been sexualized. Men are looking for money and women are looking for sweetener,” he said

He further asked the Uganda Communication Commission (UCC) to regulate DNA adverts being shared on taxis and reflectors because they are instigating domestic violence.
