American rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine days ago jetted into Uganda unannounced, to feature a Ugandan dance group, Hyper Kids Africa in his Wapae video.
Tekashi was first impressed with the Hyper Kids dance video challenge which was first shared on the group’s social media. The rapper, who has been traveling the world, recording music videos with his iPhone, saw it fit to have the young dancers in his next video.
Tekashi jetted in, and went straight to the dancers’ home. Local entertainers got to know about his presence in the country through a video he shared on his social media.
In the video, the rapper is seen giving out cash to the dancers before he dances with them.
Uganda, Africa I love you, I can’t wait to edit this video. I’m so happy I flew 22 hours just to make sure you guys were in this video. Wapae music video hopefully this Saturday/Sunday,” he shared on his Instagram.
His incognito move has left rapper Cysto Panda surprised and wondering how a collabo slipped from his hands.
“Whaaattt how come he was here and we didn’t know eh,” he commented on Tekashi’s video.
“Yeah, I love him so much,” he added.
It should be noted that whoever artist Cysto Panda admires, he requests for a collabo.
Besides Panda, Kampala Slay Queens have been looking for his whereabouts to shoot a video with him, dancers are commending him to checkout their dance studios and tattooists are requesting him to allow them add some ink on his body in memory of visiting the Pearl of Africa.
Other entertainers that were moved by his visit are Pallaso, Aziz Azion, Douglas Lwanga and Kenya’s Prezzo.
