Busysignal

We told you a few months back that Jamaican dancehall and reggae maestro Busy Signal was on his way to Kampala.
We had gathered info a few months back that Busy Signal would perform in Kampala in July, but word has it that local promoter Musa Kavuma who had booked Busy Signal, withdrew from the deal. “He was advised by friends that Signal’s music was not the type of music he can easily promote,” a source told us. Kavuma is the manager of Eagles’ Productions.

But, after Kavuma pulling out of the deal, Club Silk quickly took it up and we can confirm that Busy Signal is set to perform at Club Silk’s Street Jam on Independence day (October 9).

Born Glendale Goshia Gordon, Busy Signal is a leading Jamaican dancehall and reggae artiste.   He is responsible for hits like One More night, Night shift, Bedroom Bully, which is a remix of Shaba Ranks’ 90s popular Bedroom Bully hit, Missing You, Reggae Music Again which is considered the biggest reggae hit at the moment as well as Watch Out Fid Dis, also one of the biggest dancehall hits at the moment.

Busy Signal became even more popular after he was jailed in a US prison last year. The singer pleaded guilty to a charge of absconding bail when he appeared in a Minnesota court on July 19 2012. It is alleged that Busy Signal jumped his bail in 2002 ahead of a narcotics trial and fled to Jamaica. The artiste was released last November and has released hit after hit.
