Well, today, we share a little bit about Romeo Abdul Jones aka Rommy Jones popularly known as RJ the DJ. The DJ in question has sold himself as Tanzania’s DJ Khaled due to his lifestyle and hunger to capture the music business.
Just like Khaled, RJ has dropped some music to his name. He has tried to grow his wings outside the DJ booth and by the look of things, it is working out for him. On April 30, 2022, Jones dropped ‘The Weekend’ EP featuring different music talents such as Dash, Zuchu’s official DJ Kidy Lax, Lilly, Mabantu, Taarab singer Isha Mashauzi, and South Africa’s Ntosh Gazi.
RJ is known for teasing both personal and business developments through his social media platform, Instagram, the latest being his gig in Uganda’s capital, Kampala. Sqoop understands that RJ was booked to thrill his Ugandan fans on Friday, November 25, at Nomad bar.
He is a certified media music director, who tries to earn from music through other avenues like promoting talent, acting, and recording music, in addition to his Deejaying skills.
RJ is a cousin to his boss, Platnumz. Additionally, he has two sisters, musician Queen Darleen, and entrepreneur-socialite Esma Platnumz. RJ loves to show off his expensive jewelry, drinks, and other possessions, graduating as Tanzania’s DJ Khaled indeed.
The DJ used his Instagram account to share the exciting news ahead of Nomad bar’s 4th anniversary slated to be celebrated tomorrow. Sheila Gashumba, MC Esco, and the bar’s resident deejays will also feature on this night.
