Burna Boy has always been a lover of my lyrics- Navio boasts

While Nigerian star Burna Boy was preparing to thrill revellers at the delicious food and music festival in South Africa, Ugandan rapper Daniel Kigozi alias Navio was reminiscing on how he got himself a collaboration with the 2021 Grammy award winner six years back.
According to Navio, both artists are intrigued by strong lyrics.
“Burna Boy has always been a lover of my lyrics and it goes both ways as well because everybody now knows Burna Boy but I think earlier on, I realized and recognized that his work is more than that of the other artists who just have a lot of time do ‘baby ooh baby ooh baby ooh.’ Burna sometimes wants to get real lyrics and information to you, something that we appreciated about each other’s art,” he said
Navio was responding to a fan’s question while appearing on a local TV station on Saturday. The fan wanted to know how Navio earned the ‘Gbesile’ collaboration.
“So, it was logical for us to get on the track and do something. I flew out to Nigeria for like two weeks, we managed to get a few songs done and a video as well at the same time. And then Burna Boy really became the big Burna Boy that we know today and the last two to three years,” he added.
