It’s time to give back to the community – Faridah Nakazibwe

Faridah Nakazibwe

NTV news anchor and Mwassuze Mutya host Faridah Nakazibwe is going to have her first event a few weeks from now. The event aimed at benefiting the people of Masaka dubbed the Greater Masaka Fete is a cultural and family event meant to bring together the people from the sub-region.

“We shall be networking, exhibiting, partying and celebrating our uniqueness, as we give back to communities back home,” she said.

It is an initiative of the Smile Nakazibwe Foundation and according to the TV host, they welcome everyone with an attachment to Masaka.

She says the event was supposed to take place earlier but had to be postponed because of the pandemic.

“We wanted to have this concert before Covid but we could not. Maybe for the right reasons because it gave us a chance to think harder. I was able to come up with the Smile Nakazibwe Foundation and we also got time to re-organise ourselves better,” she says.

Proceeds from the event that will be held at the Cricket Oval will help in the construction of a skilling facility in Masaka.
