King Saha misses presidential debates

Three days back, the Uganda Musicians Association electoral commission confirmed that they had informed the three main candidates for the presidential position about the debate scheduled for Friday at Dembe FM.

They further showed one of our sources WhatsApp messages with each candidate confirming attendance but on the D-day, only two candidates came through for the highly anticipated debate.

It was only Cindy Sanyu and Lord Bitem who came through and efforts to reach out to King Saha were futile as he didn’t pick up any call and failed to also return the WhatsApp messages.

“Saha is one of the top contenders in this upcoming election and set a bad precedent for not showing up. Communication is key in our line of business,” said Bina Baibe, the moderator of the debate.

This was the first debate that required all candidates to participate ahead of the Election Day.

King Saha did not also make it to the NBS TV presidential debate that happened on Saturday evening.
