Keneth Mugabi to headline ‘1000 Faces of Change’ drive

Kenneth Mugabi

The Remnant Generation, a Christian-based NGO with a focus on rescuing and restoring into society, survivors of sexual abuse and pregnant teenage girls in partnership with top Ugandan celebrities  Martha Kay, Media personality Josephine Karungi, Inspirational speakers Hilda Bahati and Tim Sabiiti, musician Keneth Mugabi, Ronnie Habasa, and Cooper G- Way have officially launched the 1000 Faces of Change campaign to raise 1 billion shillings that will enable it to execute its mandate more impactfully and reach 1000 girls in Uganda.

Anyone can be part of the solution to help teen mothers that are simply the victims of sexual abuse by donating whatever they can, from as low as UGX 1,000.

The Coronavirus pandemic continues to rip through economies and livelihoods all around the world. While much has been done to enable economies to stay afloat, little has been done for the vulnerable and the marginalized, especially girls whose chances at getting an education are getting slimmer with the continued school’s shutdown.

The numbers of girls below the age of 18 being defiled and impregnated, and whose futures now hang in balance, have gone up tenfold. The call to action is at its loudest.

At The Remnant Generation, they believe that every child should thrive in a safe environment and in a world where children are free from sexual abuse.

Remnant Generation also believes that the 1000 Faces of Change is an opportunity for everybody who shares these beliefs, to finally make them a reality. All proceeds from this campaign will go towards providing access to healthcare, justice, shelter, food, clothing, psychosocial support, and vocational skills training for vulnerable girls, teenage mothers, and victims of sexual abuse in the districts of Lyatonde, Kampala, Wakiso, Kassanda and parts of Eastern Uganda.
