The track: OSOBOLA- CHAGGA FT. WEASEL

Once upon a time, a long time ago, back before Twitter, Facebook, or Whatsapp or even Justin Bieber invaded our world, there existed an artiste in Uganda called Chagga. He was one of the Leone Island frontmen. Chagga was big on making sweet melodic Afro-beat music. But he fell down the pecking order at the Island and for a while, so did his career.

But the song Osobola, again, with that very Chagga-like use of sweet mellowness to create infectious rhymes that your ear cannot get enough of, maybe the proof you need that form maybe temporary but class is permanent.
The song has been doing rounds on radio and dance floors for nearly a while now. It is not exactly the Afro-beat genre that he used to do back then. But the alerted Ragga he uses on this song serves the purpose of appealing to this generation much more than Afro-beat would. He sings about love, and Chagga seems to always sing about love. He is telling his lover that both of them have the ability to change each other.
Weasel, who also fell out with the hierarchy at Leone Island, comes in to give the song the macho-ness that it deserves.

He may be quite yesterday, but Chagga is class, real class. That will not go away, even if he has no hit for the next five years.
