The track :Emmese – CAPTAIN DOLLA

Dolla

Dolla

I  am sorry to disappoint you, ladies and gentlemen, but I just do not like this song. At all! I am sorry! All this fuss, this much ado about nothing, this low-level, third-rate, pedestrian, trivial, senseless, uncalled for public manifestation of sexuality simply does not turn me on. It is totally lost on me.

I will only tolerate public displays of sexuality in entertainment if there is a measurable element of art and wit to it. And when I say art, I mean a creative, beautiful and thought-provoking work, an expression or application of human creative skill and imagination. Emmese is not art. Emmese is shallow, base and basic, aiming for and targeting your innate instincts to win a one-way ticket to stardom. Sorry, it does not get my vote.

It is such a shame that the song is served to the public, on daytime television and radio while our eight-year-old daughters are listening, without even a Parental Guidance warning. May be it is the radio and TV stations I should be mad at for this. Songs like Emesse belong to pornography videos as a soundtrack. Bring them to the public sphere and they immediately become a gross breach of public decency and taste. Maybe, it is just me, but I am sorry, I just do not like this song.
