Musician Zulander undergoes surgery

Zulanda after surgery

Former Swangz Avenue musician and song writer Zulandar real names Julius Baker Ssembusi underwent a successful surgery a few days ago due to an accident he had a few weeks back.
Zulanda missed a step and twisted his ankle but took it lightly but as days passed, the pain persisted and on checking in at the hospital, he was told he needed to undergo surgery.

“I first took things lightly but the pain persisted especially in my knee and ankle. When I went to hospital, I was told I needed surgery otherwise I would never walk again,” narrated the ‘Mukwano gwo’ artiste.

But the challenge was that surgery was so expensive and he didn’t have the finances but as luck would have it, he got the money and got an opportunity at Mulago where he was operated on by surgeons from American and Ugandan doctors.

Zulanda told us that he’s in the recovery process which might take 6 to 9 months in which he’s not supposed to apply any force on the leg. “Day 6 week 1 can now feel my operated leg..Taking the first step of the journey of a million miles,” he posted on his social media two days ago.

Zulanda besides being an artiste, has written songs like Irene Ntale’s ‘Nkubukinze’, ‘Stay With Me’, ‘Love Letter’, ‘Ono Omwana’ and ‘Easy’. ‘Embeera’ and ‘Kyowulira’ by Winnie Nwagi, ‘Only You’ by Iryn Namubiru, Leila’s Hold Me and Kuuma Obudde by Lillian Mbabazi to mention but a few.
