Fan Factory thrills revelers at ‘Just comedy’ as Salvador switches up things

Fan Factory in action

Comedian Patrick Salvador and his fellow comedian friends Emma Napoleone and Ronnie Mcvex last week announced their weekly comedy show dubbed ‘Just Comedy’. The comedy show that was premiered last week on the 10th floor of the newly constructed Kingdom Kampala was well attended as revelers came in big numbers to be part of the show that was headlined by Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi.

After the success of the debut show, it didn’t go well with the revelers who complained about the parking which had prices vary from Shs5,000 to as much as Shs30,000 for different motorists. The revelers complained of paying for entrance tickets and then after also pay highly for parking space. Some of them complained about the show being on the 10th floor of the building.

Nothing was said, not even an official statement was said by the organisers but in their minds, they had perhaps respected and put into consideration the queries and discontent ion of the revelers who wanted to find a new comedy home at ‘Just comedy’.

Revealers clearly got their money’s worth

The second edition that took place last night got everyone looking like they were coming for the show for the first time. Some went to the 10th floor and bounced, some entered the parking lot and they were told to park outside and before we knew, the event was put outside the building in the gardens. There was also enough parking space outside the building just near the big built tent that housed the comedy show last night.

The numbers somehow decreased perhaps because some revelers thought it was the same hustle of going to the 10th floor and after paying highly for parking but it was not the case for the second edition. Salvador confirmed that the show will always be outside in the gardens under a tent. The lineup also saw the unusual comedy group Fan Factory performing outside the National Theatre which is their home every Thursday. Other comedians included Omukebete, The Talkers, OJ and Laptop and Kobusheshe.

Just Comedy has joined the pool of weekly comedy shows that include Comedy Store, Comedy Fiesta and Comedicine among other weekly comedy nights.
