For three years now, Lugogo Cricket Oval is common venue for a concert featuring a Jamaican artiste championed by Swangz Avenue; in 2017, it was Morgan Heritage, then Tarrus Riley in 2018 and this year, we are already bracing ourselves for Chris Martin and D-Major.

What makes this year’s show similar to that of last year’s, is a fact that they both took and will be taking place in the last week of August and both kicked off with various country tours.

Aptly titled Bell Jamz Allstar Tour, it has been held in towns Mbarara, Gulu, Kabala and Masaka which was their last stop over the weekend. This edition, the organisers promised a lineup of fresh local artiste though what we got was not necessarily a new edition of the local industry.

They worked with Nina Roz, Vinka, Spice Diana, Fik Fameica and John Blaq.

In Masaka, the rules were bent more by inviting both King Saha and Roden Y that have a singing experience of more than ten years between them. Then there was B2C.

The show in Masaka was not well attended that organisers delayed to start the shows in belief that the crowds were going to grow, it wasn’t until 11pm that they gave up on filling the venue, Masaka Rugby Grounds and started the show.

Black Skin opened, though it was Roden Y that set the pace for B2C, Vinka and Nina Roz who came before King Saha. King Saha got their attention as they sang along to songs like ‘On My Way’, ‘Gundeze’, ‘Mpa Love’, ‘Biri biri’ and ‘Mulirwana’.
