Their performance left the audience cheering and the judges with their mouths wide open in awe.

On Saturday, the Trojans dance group emerged the overall winner of the NTV sting hot-steps dance competitions at Kati Kati Restaurant in Kampala.

Having started with regional rounds in Mbarara, Mbale, Gulu and Kampala thirteen weeks ago, the fifth edition of the dance competition saw the Trojans walk away with Shs20 million.

Flaunting mesmerizing choreography and stunts, from regional competitions up country to the finale, the group which started out their dance journey seven years back, not only slayed in style and creativity but also won hearts and proved to be an inspiration for all.

However, the dance troupe’s victory took no one by surprise as they had been a favourite of the judges and audiences during several episodes of the show.

In the second position was 24/7 who took home shs10million while Daphine came third bagging shs8million.

The competitors brought their a-game in dance moves such as b-boy, breakdance, summersaults and funk dance among other styles.

Nothing changed so much with the panel as NTV’s Esco and Rachael K were still the hosts while Wembley Mo, Ronnie Mulindwa and Rosemary Atim were the judges.

In order to showcase what they really wanted in dancers, Wembley and Carol Kasita took to the stage and displayed what it takes to be a good dancer.

The dance competition is a brainchild of NTV and was this time backed by Pepsi’s Sting Energy drink brand. It’s a competition organized to search for the finest dancers across the country. There were auditions from across the country as NTV and Sting put together an enthusiastic team to find the finest of dancers.
