After going to different corners of the city, comedy outfit Fun Factory is finally back at National Theatre where they started their weekly comedy shows. According to the group’s Managing Director comedian Richard Tuwangye, the National Theatre auditorium has always been the best venue for the nature of their show.
Tuwangye told us, “We have been to Pan World Parking, Africana and most recently The Plaza because until last October, the auditorium was occupied by another theatre group for the past three years.” The group he is referring to is Theatre Factory, which they broke away from to form Fun Factory.
Tuwangye told us that the group just like several of their fans are excited about moving back home. “We have not been happy with our previous venues because they are artistically imperfect but we managed to keep it going and cracked ribs nevertheless. The National Theatre is perfect for us and for our fans.”
Fun Factory kick started their shows for this year yesterday at the National Theatre. The group are also searching for new comedians and urged interested people to go and showcase what they can do before their weekly shows start between 6pm to 8pm! Way to go!
