Chameleone to start charity work ahead of mayoral campaigns

Yesterday, Singer Jose Chameleone yesterday held call a Press conference to answer all questions and clear all the rumours that have been circulating about his political aspirations. In the press conference, the singer indirectly confirmed he is going to register and stand as the Lord Mayor of Kampala in 2021.

While speaking to the Press at DNA Lounge in Kololo, Chameleone said that he is not going into Politics but he is looking at taking on another form of leadership because he has always been a leader.
“Being a Mayor doesn’t mean I am into politics, I am just a leader” Chameleone said.

This weekend, the singer will be doing Corporate Social Responsibility in Kawempe where they will clean markets and Hospitals.

After that, Chameleone will also lead a team of football players from Kawempe that will play a friendly game against artistes like King Saha, Ykee Benda, Shidy Stylo and King Micheal.

When also asked why most artistes are going into Parliament, Chameleone said that the artistes believe that the people we send to Parliament are not productive and yet the artistes have changed the society through music meaning that when they are Members of Parliament, they can do a better job.
