Bettinah Tianah raises millions in charity drive

Charity events have always been used by musicians during their concerts but lately, it has shifted to social media influencers. Bettinah Tianah, a social media influencer raised millions during her event a few days ago.

The NTV Style project presenter held an event aimed at raising funds for girls in Bulamagi sub country in Iganga district.

The event raised over 15million and this was through the auctioning of designer dresses made by Ugandan fashion designers such as Abbas Kaijuka and Anita Beryl among others. Some dresses went for as much as shs5million while others were bought at shs3million, shs2million and more.

Proceeds from the event are going to be used to buy items such as sanitary pads and scholastic materials for the girls.

The event was also used to mentor upcoming social media influencers and this is because Bettina is among the most followed celebrities in Uganda lately.

The 24 year old has 114,300 followers on Facebook and 393,000 on Instagram and because of this, she makes most of her money through social media.

“I use my social media platforms for marketing purposes and my job is to look nice while promoting brands. Social media has enabled me travel and do businesses within and outside Uganda,” said Bettinah Tiana whose real name is Betty Nassali.

Entertainment came from Big Trill as well as Jamal Wasswa who excited the ladies with his ‘Abakyala Bazira and Omusomesa among others.
