Stop shaking your bums and breasts to attract men- Mayor tells Entebbe girls

Entebbe Mayor Vincent Kayanja DePaul has warned young girls against involving themselves in sexual related activities saying it ruins their lives.

“Young girls stop enticing men; you dress up indecently, walk while shaking your bums and breasts when you approach men because you want them to see you. Men are evil I am warning you,’’ Mr Kayanja said.

Kayanja made the remarks while addressing primary seven pupils from various schools in Katabi town council in Wakiso District, who gathered at St. Josephs Katabi primary school on Wednesday.

“When you begin sex at a young age, you risk getting sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies,’’ he said before adding that they risk spoiling their reproductive parts because they are not yet developed fully.

According to Ms Esther Lugolobi, counsellor at Wamukisa Youth Centre, a home for teenage mothers located in Kitala in Katabi town council in Wakiso District, they receive about 5-6 teens in a month after being sent away from their homes over unwanted pregnancies.

“Most of the girls are between 13 and 17 years of age,’’ she said before adding that: ‘’Poverty has led to increase in the number of teenage mothers because some parents have surrendered their girls to old men who have money because they can no longer afford to take care of them. Some parents can’t take care of their family and especially girls start admiring and in the end they are seduced by men who offer them money for sex.
