10-year-old actor Artie (Nicholas McAnulty), son to a widower Joe (Clive Owen) easily becomes a favourite because of his adventurous spirit. If he was old enough I would have wished that I turn out like him when I grow up. To be adventurous, you have to be daring and full of life too. Artie is all of these things in addition to being so much fun.
At the beach, he sits on top of the car as it moves and urges his father to drive through the water. As water splashes on him, he squeals in delight, he makes you want to join him. He also has a zip slip rope at home between trees. It is quite high, absolutely dangerous and totally fun. The movie also has very nice scenery though the plot has nothing to do with adventure. In fact, it is about single parenthood and not the usual kind that have a mother at the centre – this time it is a father Joe raising his two sons. The acting and setting is good. See what goes down in a house full of men.
