Uganda will host over 20 comedians at the two day Kampala Comedy festival, this Friday and Saturday.

The festival is the first of its kind in the country, and even before season one is done, the organisers say the plan for season two is already underway.

It features comedians from over 6 African countries including Kenya’s Dr Ofweneke and Long John. Ugandan comedy legends Pablo, Napoleon, Daniel Omara and Cotilda Inapo.

These will feature alongside Uganda new generation of comedians, Okello Okello, Tumu sime, optional Allan, Ak Dans, Akite Agnes, Kalela Daniel, Timothy and many more.

Speaking out after his arrival at the Entebbe Airport, Kenyan Comedian Dr Ofweneke said he is happy to be in Uganda and will make sure that when he leaves, Ugandans will never forget him and will keep asking him.

The event is organized by Comedians Okello Okello, Timothy Nyanzi and Daniel Omara.

Comedian Okello Okello says the festival will be the best two days in the life of the person who chooses to attend.

“I can promise you that, this is a comedy production like you have never seen before.’’
