A few years ago in Uganda, artistes used to battle it out with fists to gauge one’s superiority. But that all changed when they decided to settle it out with microphones in what was termed as ‘Battles’.
Chameleone and Bobi Wine started the battle trend when they held their Battle of Champions at Kati Kati in 2011. Unfortunately many people left the venue unsatisfied saying it was a draw. However, Bebe Cool unanimously took the day when he battled Bobi Wine at Kyadondo rugby club before edging out the Goodlyf at the same venue.
Will all these battles down, fans eagerly awaited one between Bebe Cool and Chameleone who have arguably been some of the biggest Ugandan musicians for years. However, the battle never came.
The artistes have for years promised to battle it out on one stage with each one coming up with conditions.

But is 2018 the year we are finally seeing Chameleone and Bebe Cool take on each other? The latest we have is that Chameleone is so ready to get on the stage and prove his worth.
Even though Bebe Cool hasn’t declared publicly, Chameleone took to his social media to warn Bebe Cool.
“I have heard of the battle with my big brother though no one has come forward to put the deal on table. I am a music Dynamo and who so ever wants to battle should know that that’s the day you are going to be buried before your disciples!! And I will put a cross on your grave as I engrave R.I.P,” The musical doctor warned.
Given that the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) never allows shows to go past midnight, Chameleon placed a condition.
“I will only enter that anticipated showdown if the KCCA will agree to let it be no time limit! He who runs out of music, Goes home.” He concluded.
We are waiting for Bebe Cool’s fiery response because as you know him, he does not hold any thing back.
