UG Records making comeback with Henry Tigan

Henry Tigan

Henry Tigan

For the ardent Ugandan music lovers, the name UG Records rings a bell because it was the record label that was responsible for Rabadaba’s success.

The label had made a name for itself, especially from 2008 onwards. It is during their regime that Rabadaba was arguably one of the top musicians.

Having gotten lost in so many other things, the Records’ management comprising Henry Ssali and Darius Mugisha decided to give artiste management a break.

Not until last Sunday during the just-concluded Roast and Rhyme event where Henry Tigan headlined. The duo said they are contemplating on reopening the label with Tigan as their first signing.

The singer’s career had deteriorated since he separated with Suudiman despite the immense talent he possessed. He was famed for songs such as Wadawa, Abogezi, Nsiimye Gwe, among others.
