Masembe settles for green fun festival

We told you sometime back that Mase Consultants boss, Joseph Masembe had launched a campaign dubbed Uganda’s Little Hands Go Green.

Masembe’s major aim was to ensure that at least every child in every family plants a tree. Along the way, he managed to interest religious leaders, celebrities as well as Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanya and the youthful Toro King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru to take part in the tree planting campaign.

And the campaign is not over yet; instead of last year’s My Kid is a Superstar festival, the marketing guru has set his sights and efforts on setting up the first ever Green Fun Festival that will be held at the Lugogo Cricket Oval on Sunday August 12.

According to Masembe, every child that will attend will receive a free fruit seedling courtesy of NFA and the event will be filmed by DSTV and will be broadcast on Africa Magic.

“Dress code for the event is strictly green and it will attract high profile green activists from different parts of the world. Children have a proprietary interest in the future, lets help them impact on our environment which is our future,” he said.
