DJ Slick Stuart and Roger impress at season four Mixtape Party

If the recent Mixtape Party is anything to go by, then it’s safe to say that Uganda’s first ever DJ duo of SlickStuart and Roger is set to take over the Deejaying Industry.

The duo held their fourth season of the Mixtape Party at Golf Course Hotel’s second floor and staying true to their niche, played music back to back, something that we have not yet seen anywhere.

With commendable precision the DJs took turns to mix genres of music that i never imagined could be blended. Whenever Stuart was done with one song, Roger immediately blended in by playing another song from his turntable but it seemed like it was one DJ playing music the whole night.

As the saying goes, “the older the wine, the sweeter”. Old Ugandan music ruled the decks with the Djs taking the crowd down memory lane, playing songs from the late 2000s which got the revelers excited. Soon they were dancing, smiling and singing along.

Though the show got off to a slow start with most revelers coming in late, the venue had filled to the brim by 9:30pm.

Sheeba Karungi who performed John Rambo and Sitani Tonkema with Roden Y had the audience screaming on top of their lungs before leaving the stage for other performers like Ykee Benda, Beenie Gunter, Nina Roz, DJ Aludah, DJ Naselow, Nutty Neithan and Kemishan among others.

The annual event was handled by events manager Aly Alibhai and sponsored by Uganda Waragi and KFM. The duo has for the past three years organized different editions of the Mixtape Party which have always been a success.
