If you have been an ardent fan of Sky Lounge, Cayenne or attended any event organised by Talent Africa in the past seven years, you have probably seen a White-ish DJ on the discs. His name is DJ Crisio and he was mixing jams in Uganda for the last seven years until he bowed out last year to return to his home country, Netherlands. Besides just wanting to return home, we heard that Crisio also wanted his children to experience the opportunities available back home. But barely a year since he returned, it looks like the guy is already missing Uganda. Word reaching us is that DJ Crisio, real name Christopher Van Dogen, is on his way to Uganda and he will be among the deejays to headline this year’s Nyege Nyege Festival scheduled for the September 1-3 in Jinja.
We hope he will be here earlier to familiarise himself with our Ugandan songs because while he was away, the industry was on fire.
