Ugandan Hip-Hop artiste Flex D’Paper could easily be categorised as an underground rapper but he is not. An underground rapper is one who doesn’t do music for radio or TV. Flex D’Paper is known for songs like 6am in Nairobi Shutting down town and Victory, among others.
Flex D’Paper is now trying to cross borders by doing music with International artistes and his latest song Never Give Up features German rapper Moko Loco. The song that was recorded by P Bane and mixed by Wayne Anira of Let’s Cook Production in Germany is an inspirational song. When you listen to it, you will realise that the singers chose to do the old hip hop style that faded. Most of the parts are in English except the hook which Flex sings in Luganda. — Lawrence Ogwal
