Catch me if you can! This was probably what was going through Mozey Radio’s head as he eluded cops last Friday. The Goodlyfe singer, who is known for controversy, last year told whoever cared to listen that he had given his life to Jesus Christ and to prove that, he left his partner Weasel to record a 20-track Gospel album titled Kilimanjaro.
We thought this would come with the singer living holy ways and hanging around people like Exodus, Levixone, Wilson Bugembe and Judith Babirye. But alas! Turns out Radio was actually living his same old life, which involves binge drinking regardless of time or place.
At around 2pm last Friday, Radio was seen speeding in a Mercedez Benz on Ggaba Road, with police officers and boda boda riders trailing him. He was intercepted by a police car at around Sharing Youth Centre in Nsambya as he tried to get himself home to Makindye.
The Neera singer reportedly fought off the police and managed to escape, although he left his shirt behind during the scuffle. The pencil-thin singer was seen running toward Nsambya Hospital where he got a boda boda to Makindye. His dreadlocked friends whom he abandoned in the car were told to move out as a breakdown vehicle towed Radio’s benz to Central Police Station. It is said the singer was caught drink driving in broad day light.
